Dr Vasile Pana
DMD Tg.Mures Romania
GDC no.: 175687
Specialist in Restorative Dentistry (Romania) 2003
Advanced Level Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry – Birmingham
Advanced Level Certificate in Implantology – Birmingham
Member Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry “Smile Concepts” – Birmingham
Member of Occlusal Design – Toronto, Canada
Member of Royal College of Surgeons – London
1987-1990 Vasile enrolled at the Medical School in Orhei Moldova to become a surgeon, after working in an emergency hospital in Chisinau Moldova. Vasile always knew that he wanted to combine mental and practical stimulation so complex dentistry seemed to tick that box as it was far more challenging and much more varied. He started studying in Romania in 1990 as a general dentist and finished in 1996.
Vasile then worked as a general dental practitioner until 2003, attending many courses on aesthetic and restorative dentistry, in which he developed a special interest. After 7 years, he completed his degree in Restorative Dentistry in Cluj Romania. In 2006, he completed his certificate in Implantology. Vasile then worked as a Referral Restorative Specialist till 2009, when he brought his family to the UK. In order to deliver the best possible patient outcome, Vasile spent all his spare time studying the GDC laws and regulations in English.
Vasile has to date completed the following:-
500 full mouth rehabilitation cases
More than 8,000 Root Canal Treatments
Over 10,000 Crowns, including Implant Supported Crowns
Oral surgery, including Bone Augmentation procedures and Apicectomies
His main area of interest is the functional aspects of full mouth rehabilitation. At the Implant and Ceramic Dental Studios, his special interest is Occlusal Evaluation and orientation of the jaw to the skull, which can be the main cause of migraines/headaches. This eliminates long-term side effects of an incorrect tooth and crown placement when restoring multiple units involving expensive implant treatments.
We call him our headache Guru.
Vasile believes that the only way to deliver a high standard is by having an experienced Master Technician involved in his treatments onsite at all times.
